At a carnival themed event, Midway games were available for the guests to play. A Balloon Pop Game was combined with restaurant gift cards that had been donated for the event to help add some fun and raise money for the school. A large board with balloons was set up. Under each balloon was a number that corresponded to an envelope containing a gift card to a restaurant for $25. A few envelopes contained gift cards of higher values to motivate patrons to play and win more. Guests could buy one dart for $10 and three for $25 to try to pop the balloons and win a certificate to their favorite eatery!
This could also be done with bottles and a ring toss game or a bean bag toss onto a board divided into numbered spaces. Numbers can be placed in the bottles corresponding to numbered envelopes containing the certificates. You could also display the logos of the restaurants on the board and let guest try to hit the space with the logo of their desired eatery. If the bean bag lands on a logo, you receive that corresponding gift card. Remove the logos as certificates are won. This is a nice way to give your donors exposure as well.
